Colloidal silver is made up of nano silver particles suspended in distilled water. 
Before the the introduction of antibiotics in the 1930s people relied on various methods of internal health and wound care, with the predominant method being silver particles. 
 
Nano silver particles are known to punture the walls of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses, disturbing their cellular respiration and metabolic response; preventing the microorganism to sucessfully duplicate its DNA. 
 
Colloidal silver is safe for use in children, adults and animals. 
 
Unlike antibiotics, colloidal silver will not promote massive die-off of good bacteria.
However, with any antibiotic-like substance it's always a good idea to take probiotics 2-4 hours after doses.
